 BSP Hematopathology Working Group  

The Hematopathology Working Group of the Belgian Society of Pathology recommends to at least use ICC-CAC classification for diagnosis and coding of hematologic neoplasms. However, for issues of clarity, communication and interoperability it is advisable to mention both ICC-CAC and WHO-HAEM5 in each report. Also, it is wise to refer to the previous term from WHO 4th edition in situations where terminology or criteria have changed over the recent years. It should be stressed that a good communication with referring clinicians is essential, also on use of terminology and classifications
